Who we are
Our history

Milton Keynes Irish FC was formed on 1 June 2020, when three local clubs came together to create something new for football in Milton Keynes.

Milton Keynes Robins, formerly Buckingham Town, Unite MK and Milton Keynes Irish Vets joined forces with a shared aim: to build a club that could support players, teams and the wider local football community.

Today, the club is based at Manor Fields, next to the Milton Keynes Irish Centre, and is home to men’s, ladies’ and youth football. With teams from U8 through to U18, alongside our senior sides, we provide opportunities for players of all ages and abilities to enjoy the game.

Our Journey
The story so far
2020
A new club is born

MK Robins, Unite MK and MK Irish Vets merge to form Milton Keynes Irish FC, with the new club beginning life in Spartan South Midlands Division One.

2020/21
A flying start

Milton Keynes Irish make an immediate impact in their debut season, sitting 2nd after nine games with the league’s best points-per-game record before the campaign is cut short by COVID-19. The club also enjoys an FA Vase run before earning promotion to the Premier Division at Step 5.

2021/22
Youth football arrives

MK Irish Youth is launched, joining forces with MK College and Scot FC to create a youth setup of eight teams from U7 through to U18.

2022/23
A season of change

After a steady first season at Step 5, MK Irish were moved into the Uhlsport UCL Premier Division South for what proved to be a short stay. The club spent one season in the division before returning to the Spartan South Midlands League, with the First Team joining the Premier Division and the Reserve Team entering Division Two.

2023/24
Raising the bar

Back in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division, Irish enjoyed an exciting season as more club records were broken along the way. The team finished 2nd in the league and reached the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup for the first time in the club’s history. The season ultimately ended with the Irish finishing six points behind the league leaders before falling short in the first round of the Premier Division play-offs.

2024/25
Champions

MK Irish made history by winning the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division title and earning promotion to the Pitching In Southern Football League. It was a record-breaking campaign for the club, with the club losing just one league game all season and becoming the earliest Premier Division champions in Spartan South Midlands League history.
