The Last Dance.

To the management, the staff, the fans and my teammates… It breaks my heart doing this as I absolutely love the club and everyone involved in it. However, my time at the Irish has come to an end.

Firstly I would like to say thank you to Terry Shrieves, Glyn Creaser & Vinny Shrieves who saved my career and brought me back to playing my best football, and helping me become a better person.

I would also like to say thank you to the rest of the management who impacted me on and off the field. A special mention to the staff who run the football club, they work tirelessly and go over and beyond and I am so thankful we have such amazing people with us the whole way.

The Irish fans who travelled every single game and routed for us from the get go, was an absolute honour to play infront of you and for you to support this club the way you do, I have seen nothing like it. My sponsor and friend Michael who believed in me from the start and always gave me the right advice (you were lucky today) what a man and an absolute legend who put everything into this club.

Lastly to my fellow teammates, I want to let you know I cut no corners my time at the Irish, and left nothing in the tank I put my all into this amazing team. To captain this fantastic group was a privilege and was a special special memory which I will cherish. I am so proud of every single individual in my group, we fought till the very end and showed incredible character the whole time. This was the hardest decision I had to make in a very long time, but I have no doubt you will all go on and smash it again. This is a goodbye for now but not a goodbye forever, the Irish will always be my family and I am so sorry I couldn’t bring it home.

See you at the top your Skipper, Ty Ward.
